Ultimately, Emma spent four summers in language immersion programs. However, Iris’ in-depth research, extensive travel and background in education (including ten years with IBM as an educational consultant) came to the attention of others in the community. Word spread and Iris began providing guidance about the many options for summer vacation and school break enrichment programs. From these conversations, Smart Journeys was born.
